New Year!

It has been a wintry start to the school year with no sign of letting up according to the Groundhogs!

I want to welcome our 9th intake of Illustration students, a talented and diverse group! As well, we have a new faculty member, Michelle Ryan who is teaching Visual Development.  She comes to us with both a strong background in teaching and in working in the art department of film and television productions.

Werner Zimmerman has been taking the Children’s Book Illustration students to Scholastic and the Lillian H Smith Library including the Osbourne collection that is housed there.

I have taken the senior Illustration students to Open Studio in 401 Richmond for a screenprinting workshop.  We will continue experimenting with screenprinting at the AGO in their fantastic studio space this Friday.

Stay tuned for news of more events and activities to come this semester!
